Harris Museum & Art Gallery
Works on display across the Harris Museum & Art Gallery demonstrated a range of responses to the challenges and opportunities that rapidly developing new technologies, at the time, presented.
On the mezzanine, video works by Katharine Meynell and Daniel Reeves each discussed narratives of travel, whilst Nick Crowe’s work on the balcony space examines the internet as an agent for cultural change.
Appropriately situated in the ground floor public library, Ex Libris by Michael Gibbs shares a digitised version of the artists entire personal library, examining the archival and textual nature of the internet.
Recent UCLan graduate Alan Lofthouse exhibited new work made especially for the Stairway exhibition space; making large digital collages of local landscapes.
